The collection contains production material, including manuscript and illustrative material for forty-four individual stories and twenty collections of essays and stories, written between 1931 and 1967. Manuscript materials include holographs, corrected typescripts (one with direction for the illustrator, some marked for the printer), front matter typescripts, corrected typescript carbons, corrected galley proofs, corrected page proofs, illustrations and illustrator's proofs, publisher's dummies in blueprint, and a very small amount of correspondence.
